Who We Are
Our Story
Calvary Chapel Island of Grace was born out of a desire to see a church on the island that was fully committed to the verse-by-verse teaching of God's Word. From humble beginnings, our congregation has grown into a warm, multigenerational family united by a shared love for Jesus and a passion for authentic community.
We are part of the Calvary Chapel movement, which has always been marked by a simple commitment: teach the whole Bible, trust the Holy Spirit, and love people well. That DNA runs through everything we do — from Sunday morning worship to our midweek studies, outreach events, and everyday life together.

Pastor Kevin Henesy
Lead Pastor
Pastor Kevin Henesy has served the congregation of Calvary Chapel Island of Grace with a shepherd's heart and a teacher's passion. His ministry is marked by a deep love for God's Word and a genuine care for every person who walks through our doors.
Kevin's verse-by-verse approach to teaching has equipped and encouraged believers at every stage of their faith journey. Whether behind the pulpit on Sunday morning or sitting across the table over coffee, his desire is the same: to help people know Jesus more deeply and walk with Him more faithfully.
He and his family are grateful to call this island community home and consider it a privilege to serve alongside such a faithful congregation.

What We Believe
Our beliefs are grounded in the historic Christian faith as revealed in Scripture. Here are some of the core convictions that shape our life together.
The Bible
We believe the entire Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God — our ultimate authority for faith and life.
The Trinity
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is fully God and fully man, born of a virgin, who died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and will return in glory.
Salvation by Grace
We believe salvation is a free gift of God received through faith in Jesus Christ alone — not by works or human merit.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, empowering us to live godly lives and serve the body of Christ.
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship, grow in the Word, and proclaim the Gospel to the world.
